I no longer get comments on any of my legacy posts, so for me, it's not worth the effort anymore, especially since I post all my pictures twice anyway: once to LJ and once to tumblr.

In light of that, I'm moving any and all simming operations exclusively to my simblr. I still plan on continuing with the Speare Legacy and finishing it out, I'm just not posting on this journal anymore.

Hope this isn't a huge inconvenience to any of you!

Wow, long time no update! Sorry guys, I just haven’t been in the mood to play the Speares’ save because it got really screwed up, and I spent a week fixing it only for it to get worse.

However, I have a plan! I’ll talk about it at the end, though.

For now, we’ll do some catching up with Lysander, Constance, and the girls, as well as our founding couple.

Welcome to Hidden Springs! This is without a doubt my favorite world. Hands down.

I wish I started of the Speares here, but I wanted to try and be a diverse simmer and use another world. Which backfired, because I love Hidden Springs with a burning passion.

This is the Rondel, the Speares’ new abode.

Don’t get too attached.

A tour would waste time, so here’s the cut and dry: 4 bed, 2 bath, kitchen, living, dining, private stocked pond.

The landscaping is the best part, anyway.

Here’s the aged-up Maria. She’s now disciplined, evil, and excitable.

And Rosalind. She’s a perceptive and artistic couch potato.

Pointless, but I love Hidden Springs.

Lysander and Constance went down to the park with the girls.

And where was Regan during all of this? Doing her homework at the library. In Hidden Springs, a sim who hates the outdoors is pretty much useless.

Lysander: I worry about Regan sometimes.

Constance: I think Viola’s the one you should be most worried about. She’s crazy.

Speaking of Viola, I sent the big twins to the fancy-pants lounge. Here’s Hero looking all spiffy.

Once upon a time, the citizens of Lunar Lakes decided they'd had enough of living in space—they wanted to go back to Sunset Valley.

There is a reason! Bascially Legacy Island screwed up and even though I managed to save the Speares from the wreckage, I haven't been in the mood to completely fix their save. Whenever I think about it I get really demotivated.

So I've decided to take an indefinite hiatus from the Speares (ugh, I hate being one of those legacy players).

However, that blue girl in my icon? Well, I'm doing something with her, so expect an update on that front soonish.

Bellerose: Prologue

Years later, they told their son they never meant to fall in love. They were too different, too far apart. In every way, they were incompatible. Logically, their relationship was a catastrophe from the beginning.

Yet somehow, they made it work.

She'd grown up in a trailer park out behind the railroad tracks. She'd never had money, especially after her dad bailed. She and her mama made do, but it was only a lucky scholarship that sent her to culinary school—and to him.

He was the son of a neurosurgeon and his trophy wife. He'd always had everything he needed—cars, booze, women. For him, college was just a way to pass the time until his father found him a cushy job in a top-level office somewhere.

But then he met her.

There was something about her he couldn't resist. She'd be shy one minute and playful the next.

She was always a surprise; he never knew what to expect..

And that attracted him.

Yet while he chased her and tried to pin her down, she kept pulling away. She knew falling for him would be a mistake; they just weren't meant to be.

But in spite of herself, she watched as the walls she'd built fell until there was just the two of them, young and in love.

In that moment, they were invincible.

"This is wrong," she told herself sometimes. "It will never work."

There was always that fear, just beneath the surface. Fear of rejection, fear of hurt, of loss. Fear of humiliation.

He couldn't understand why she still refused to let him close, why she kept backing away. For every step forward they made in their relationship, they only seemed to slide backwards two steps more.

Maybe it was an epiphany. Maybe her guardian angel whispered in her ear. Maybe she just conked her head too hard in the shower.

Whatever it was, one day she woke up and knew that she loved him.

From that day on, she was a new woman.

She all but threw herself at him, hoping, just praying, that she hadn't been wrong about how he felt.

And of course, she hadn't been.

They were best friends and they were lovers. Inseperable, wholly committed.

Peas in a pod, yin and yang, two halves of a whole...well, you get the idea.

"Be with me," he told her. "Forever."

There was only one thing she could say: "Yes."

And that, naturally, was only the beginning.

Okay, obviously some explanation is needed.

Zachary and Zillah are going to be the founding couple for a new story-based legacy type deal. I don't like to only play one save, day after day, because then I get tired/bored of playing Sims.

Currently, the Belleroses are only a side-project, but we'll have to see how long I keep up with them, what happens, etc.

Viola being an evil genius and all, I figured potion-making was a good thing to do.

Naturally, Constance did all of the work.

Tombs give me a greater appreciation for my significant other, too.

Constance thought she was super tough and stuff.

Needless to say, Lysander won.

After that they hugged it better and flew home.

Welcome to the Speare Legacy! This isn't my first legacy so I (mostly) know what I'm doing. I'm aiming for a non-caucasian gene pool and names straight from Billy the Bard's plays. Good stuff.

This update's going to be a quickie, since there's only so much that can happen in a "1.1" update.

Meet Shay Speare. Legacy founder and lover of a certain famous playwright.

The first thing Shay did upon arrival was (literally) running next door.

He invited his pretty neighbor to the park.

Sadly, things got off to a rocky start.
